Before and After Photos
Morpheus8 is a specially-developed, FDA-approved device that combines microneedling techniques with the heat application of radiofrequency energy for comprehensive skin rejuvenation.
The treatment involves delivering radiofrequency energy directly into the skin using a matrix of tiny, thin needles. The radiofrequency energy creates an electromagnetic field within the skin, delivered through alternating current. (1) This causes controlled, microscopic injuries which induce a natural healing process in the body. When the skin is in the process of healing, it produces collagen and elastin, both of which work to revitalize skin tone and texture.
Because Morpheus8 involves radiofrequency energy in addition to microneedling, the precision with which your provider can treat you far exceeds microneedling alone. (2) Your provider can also precisely determine the depth and intensity of the applied radiofrequency. High levels of precision mean an incredibly personalized treatment, rejuvenating your skin according to your goals.

Who is a Candidate for Morpheus8?
If you want to get rid of unsightly wrinkles, sagging skin, acne scars, and other skin issues, Morpheus8 treatment might be right for you.
Unlike other skin rejuvenation procedures, Morpheus8 treatment can help restore all skin types and tones. Some traditional skin rejuvenation treatments can cause hyper- and hypopigmentation in patients with brown or olive skin tone. Luckily, Morpheus8 provides a safer and more effective option for darker skin tones.
At your personal consultation, we will provide you with everything you need to know about Morpheus8 treatment. We will review your health history to make sure the procedure is safe for you. According to the condition of your skin and the goals you have for it, we will prepare a personalized treatment plan for you.
Morpheus8 is remarkably precise, allowing us to fine-tune your treatment plan and ensure that your skin will be rejuvenated in the most personalized way possible. At 17Medspa, we go above and beyond in order to achieve patient satisfaction. To schedule your personal consultation, call us at (714) 224-9010 (Buena Park) or (408) 663-8701 (Cupertino). In preparation for your Morpheus8 treatment, you should avoid taking blood-thinning and anti-inflammatory medication, to decrease the possibility of bruising. It is best to avoid consuming alcohol for 24 hours prior for the same reason. There are certain supplements, like Arnica, that we may recommend you take in order to prevent bruising.
Avoid sun exposure and use of tanning beds for up to a week before the procedure. Excessive sun exposure before and after the procedure may cause unwanted skin darkening or lightening.
If you are going to be receiving medication to ease your discomfort during the procedure, we advise that you schedule a ride to and from your appointment. After your personal consultation, we will let you know how else you may need to prepare.
Morpheus8 treatment sessions can vary from fifteen minutes to about an hour long, depending on the area being treated.
There are three steps in the Morpheus8 procedure.
- We clean and prep your skin.
- We administer a topical numbing agent onto the area of treatment. Local anesthesia may be necessary in some cases.
- We treat your skin with the Morpheus8 device. This involves methodically applying the needles to your skin. As the needles penetrate your skin, they will emit radiofrequency energy.
The depth at which the microneedles penetrate your skin and the intensity of the radiofrequency energy depend on the nature of the skin issues being addressed. If you feel uncomfortable during your procedure, your treatment provider may be able to alter the settings. If the settings must remain the same, we can give you local numbing or pain medication. We will determine these measures to the best of our ability before the initial procedure, though it is perfectly fine to let your treatment provider know how you are feeling.
Morpheus8 treatment boasts a shorter recovery period than other more intensive procedures like facelifts. After treatment, your skin may display some swelling and redness in the treatment area. If your provider utilized particularly deep applications, you may experience some bruising as well. These symptoms are common, and should disappear within a week.
We advise against excessive sun exposure to the treated areas for one week after your treatment. Your skin will be more vulnerable as it heals, so sun exposure can have a heightened effect and potentially damage your skin.
We may provide you with more specific instructions for your recovery period. Be sure to follow them carefully. You may return to work as soon as you are comfortable doing so.
You will be amazed by the results of your Morpheus8 treatment. The innovative technology of the morpheus8 device rejuvenates your skin, giving it a healthy, youthful glow.
Because the technique involves your skin’s own healing process, the full extent of the effects will take up to three months to show. Some effects will be apparent soon after treatment, such as improved complexion and a brighter glow.
We typically recommend three monthly treatments for the effects of Morpheus8 treatment to reach their full potential.
Corresponding & Complementary Procedures
At 17Medspa, we offer some alternatives to Morpheus8.
Picoway is a laser light treatment that can improve the tightness of your skin. It utilizes quick bursts of light to stimulate collagen growth without breaking the outer layer of skin. The effects of a Picoway treatment will be visible after just one treatment.
Spectrum IPL is a skin treatment that uses Intense Pulsed Light to penetrate the skin. With a variety of intensities, it can resurface skin, remove sun spots, hair, tattoos and more. Spectrum IPL features precise wavelength detection technology, targeting specific skin pigments and avoiding those surrounding.
We also offer treatments that may complement Morpheus8. A VI Peel can make your skin even smoother and positively radiant. It is a chemical peel that reduces the prominence of wrinkles, fine lines, acne and hyperpigmentation. It also works to smoothen skin by reducing pore size and regulating its texture. In conjunction with Morpheus8, your skin will be unstoppable!
How Much Does Morpheus8 Cost?
Do Morpheus8 treatments work as well as a facelift?
Morpheus8 treatments deal with many of the same things that facelifts do. They are best for patients with mild forms of skin laxity and other skin issues. However, Morpheus8 does not require incisions and will therefore leave no scarring. This factor, as well as financial considerations, may be the reason why Morpheus8 treatment is better suited to some patients than a facelift.
Do Morpheus8 treatments hurt?
Morpheus8 involves microneedling techniques on the skin, which may be uncomfortable for some patients. Depending on a patient’s treatment indications, topical numbing agents, local anesthesia and medication can be administered to make the procedure as comfortable as possible.
How long does it take to recover from a Morpheus8 treatment?
You can resume everyday activities immediately after treatment, or as soon as you feel comfortable enough to do so. Any redness or swelling you experience should subside within a week. Because healing is a part of the morpheus8 process, the effects will be fully visible in about three weeks.
