Your first appointment at 17Medspa is spent with a consultant. They perform a thorough examination of the treatment area to determine the best approach. This is the perfect time for you to ask any questions and voice your concerns to make sure you get the best treatments possible.

In order to achieve the skin you have always wanted, you must use this time wisely. Come prepared with a detailed history of your skin imperfections and overall health. If this appointment occurs while you have an active breakout, your first treatment session will be scheduled for a later date.

Preparation

Please show up to your initial appointment with a freshly cleansed face. Avoid the application of harsh topical products for at least two weeks beforehand. These include anything with retinol or vitamin C as they can irritate the skin and negatively impact your treatment. If you are undergoing an ablative laser treatment, make sure to refrain from taking anti-inflammatory medications for a week leading up to your consultation to avoid excessive bleeding. If you are a smoker, please refrain for at least 2 weeks leading up to any of your treatments.

Treatment Recovery & Results

Each package involves AGNES treatment. This is an ablative laser that induces skin resurfacing. In order to prevent over-damaging the skin barrier, we incorporate 3 to 4 week gaps between visits. This allows your skin to heal in between the minimally-invasive treatments so you can safely receive the next step in your package.

Patients typically receive their acne treatments in 3 to 6 visits to 17Medspa. To ensure your satisfaction, we monitor your progress as you go to make sure your skin is ready for the next step.

Throughout the package treatment process, you will notice results slowly as your skin heals. It may take a while to appreciate these results fully, but many patients can notice a difference in their acne within the first month, right after the first few treatments. It depends on your skin type, acne severity, and your normal healing times.
