About EMFACE

EMFACE is FDA-cleared for facial aesthetic rejuvenation. It can improve facial musculature and superficial layers by using a combination of Synchronized Radiofrequency (RF) and High Intensity Facial Electrical Stimulation (HIFES®). (1)

During the treatment, the RF energy will heat the underlying layers of your tissue and stimulate the production of collagen and elastin. This will improve the texture, appearance, and firmness of your skin over time.

Preparation

Once you decide to proceed with treatment, you will receive a set of instructions to help you prepare. These instructions are fairly straightforward, but we ask that you follow them closely to ensure the most effective treatment possible.

Typically, these include directions such as wearing sunscreen when leaving the house and avoiding any excessive sun exposure. You will also need to refrain from using tanning beds, tanning products, or undergoing any medspa treatments, as they can affect your skin’s barrier. It is also important that you arrive with clean skin without any makeup or skin care products remaining.

Procedure

When you arrive for your treatment, your skin specialist will meet with you one last time to reconfirm each detail. They will then cleanse your skin before applying each applicator across your face. The applicators can be applied to the eyes, forehead, cheeks, and the area beneath your chin and jawline (submentum).

When the treatment begins, the applicators will emit the RF energy and HIFES® stimulation. You will feel a gentle warmth sensation, and your muscles will begin to contract. (2) This will continue for approximately 20 minutes before the sensations stop, and your specialist removes the applicators.

Recovery and Results

EMFACE does not require recovery time, so you will be able to return to your daily activities immediately after your appointment. Your face may initially look a bit red or flushed, but these effects will subside quickly. During this time, you should avoid excessive sun exposure and protect your skin.

The results of EMFACE are gradual, as it can take several weeks to months for your body to produce new collagen. While your results may vary, you can expect smoother and tighter skin, accentuated facial contours, improved firmness, and a more youthful-looking appearance overall.

For the best results, we recommend undergoing a regimen of four sessions spaced one week apart, although you can see subtle benefits after a single session.
