About EXION Clear

EXION Clear is a multi-platform aesthetic device that features four specialized applicators that treat 23 different areas from head to toe. This treatment combines monopolar radiofrequency (RF), targeted ultrasound (US), and artificial intelligence (AI) to stimulate deep dermal fibroblasts. Preparation

Effectively preparing for your EXION Clear treatment helps to optimize the procedure and your results. As a non-surgical energy treatment, EXION does not require extensive preparation, but the 17Medspa team still advises you to follow these steps:

  • Avoid direct sun exposure for a few days leading up to your treatment
  • Pause the use of harsh skincare products
  • Avoid blood-thinning medications and supplements
  • Refrain from receiving harsh chemical procedures at least two weeks prior
  • Arrive to your appointment free of lotion, sunscreen, or makeup

Procedure

At the beginning of your treatment, your skin specialist will ensure that you feel comfortable and relaxed. We recommend that you receive at least four sessions of your treatment spaced one week apart for maximum results. You will receive any of the following EXION forms, depending on your skin concerns and personal goals:

  • EXION Face: Uses RF and targeted ultrasound technology through a handheld applicator that glides over your skin to stimulate deep tissues thermally and mechanically. This technique safely heats the deeper layers of your skin without needles or surgical incisions. This procedure aims to restore skin quality and improve skin laxity in delicate areas of your face. Sessions last about 30 to 45 minutes and do not require major recovery time.
  • EXION Body: Combines monopolar radiofrequency and targeted ultrasound energy to reduce localized fat and tighten skin. It uses a larger applicator to heat the deep tissue layers and encourages the body to eliminate fat cells naturally in the abdomen, thighs, and arms. The main goal of this treatment is to improve body contours and skin tightness by stimulating collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid production. Sessions generally last about 30 to 60 minutes with little to no downtime.
  • EXION RF Microneedling: This treatment combines AI with RF microneedling to reach the deeper skin layers without a full needle insertion. (3) This effort forces fat cells to deform and naturally diminish while simultaneously boosting the production of collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid. This treatment typically takes 30 to 60 minutes per session, depending on the treatment area.
  • EXION Intimate: This treatment utilizes thermal energy to boost collagen and elastin in the vaginal and labial tissues to improve tone, elasticity, lubrication, and bladder control. Using a silicone device that delivers 360-degree volumetric heating internally and externally, it carefully targets the tissues within 15 minutes.

Recovery

EXION treatments generally require little to no downtime. If you receive the EXION face, body, or intimate treatments, you will be able to resume your daily activities right away, avoiding extreme heat and sexual intercourse for at least 24 hours. EXION RF Microneedling does require at least two days of downtime, during which your face will appear red, similar to a sunburn. (4)
