What Is EMFACE?

EMFACE by BTL is the first non-invasive treatment to simultaneously tone facial muscles and tighten skin — addressing both primary underlying causes of facial aging in a single 20-minute, needle-free session. It uses a patented combination of Synchronized Radiofrequency (RF) and High-Intensity Facial Electrical Stimulation (HIFES®) delivered through three adhesive applicators placed on the forehead and cheeks. EMFACE is U.S. FDA-cleared and CE-marked.

How It Works

Synchronized RF heats the dermis to stimulate collagen and elastin production, improving skin texture and smoothing fine lines. Simultaneously, HIFES® selectively contracts the ‘elevator’ facial muscles — lifting muscles of the forehead, cheeks, jawline, and corners of the mouth — strengthening them and producing a genuine structural lift from within. Unlike fillers that add foreign substances, EMFACE rebuilds facial architecture through the body’s own biological response. The standard protocol is four 20-minute sessions spaced one week apart.

Nine clinical studies with over 700 treatments showed an average 37% reduction in wrinkles, 30% increase in facial muscle tone, and 23% visible lifting effect. Optimal results appear six to twelve weeks after the final session, as collagen and elastin continue to develop.
