Exosomes
Consultations offered at our two convenient locations in Buena Park and Cupertino, CA
Treating your skin with exosomes is one of the most effective ways to help it repair itself from sun damage, acne, and signs of aging. Exosomes are tiny, microscopic membranes that your immune system, nervous system, and connective tissue naturally produce. They play a critical role in cellular communication throughout the body, supporting tissue repair and optimizing the immune system.
At 17Medspa, we have helped many patients improve the quality of their skin with innovative regenerative medicine. Our customizable, holistic treatments can enhance your complexion while addressing underlying conditions for lasting results.

About Exosomes
When the skin becomes damaged, the body produces collagen–a naturally occurring protein that helps your skin maintain its structure–and other nutrients to repair it. As you age, however, the collagen levels in your skin naturally declines. As a result, fine lines, wrinkles, age spots, and hyperpigmentation begin to appear. Exosomes can increase the collagen and elastin in your skin to renew your appearance. They can also help reduce hair loss. Although you can receive exosomes as a stand-alone treatment, we often combine them with our customizable skin rejuvenation and hair restoration therapies for the most effective regimen.
Exosomes for Skin Rejuvenation
By combining exosomes with skin rejuvenation treatments, we can increase your skin’s collagen levels to reduce these changes and refresh your appearance. Exosomes can also help address sun damage and premature skin aging caused by UV exposure (photoaging) that can result in hyperpigmentation, wrinkles, and dryness. (1) You can enjoy lasting radiance by combining exosomes with skin rejuvenation treatments.
Morpheus8
Morpheus8 can tighten the skin, reduce wrinkles, and improve skin texture with radiofrequency energy that increases collagen levels. We can penetrate the deeper layers of the skin with radiofrequency and heat. The heat causes the skin to contract and stimulates collagen production to reduce fine lines and wrinkles. We can administer the treatment to the face and/or the neck to refresh your appearance.
Sofwave
Sofwave lifts and tightens the skin with ultrasound energy, reducing fine lines and wrinkles for a firmer complexion. The treatment can provide a noninvasive eyelid and brow lift without incisions or the downtime associated with anesthesia. During the treatment, ultrasound energy targets the mid-dermis to stimulate collagen production and renew your skin.
Ultherapy
Ultherapy is another ultrasound energy treatment that tightens the skin. However, it penetrates the deepest layers in the mid to lower face to improve laxity, fine lines, and wrinkles for a smoother appearance. (2)

Exosomes for Hair Growth
We can also combine them with hair restoration treatments to combat hair loss, another condition that is common with age. Genetic hair loss (alopecia) is often characterized by inflammation that damages the hair follicles, altering their structure and prohibiting them from producing new hair. Exosomes can reduce scalp inflammation to foster a healthier environment for your hair. Some exosomes are derived from hair follicle cells and contain nanostructures that support hair follicle growth for thicker hair. (3,4) We offer several hair treatments that we can combine with exosomes so you can enjoy thicker hair.
Hair Growth Treatment
A hair growth treatment is a collection of customizable therapies that stimulate hair growth in dormant hair follicles to reduce hair loss:
- Fontana Hair Toning: With a noninvasive laser, we can administer targeted pulses of energy to stimulate hair growth. The laser creates microchannels in the skin to stimulate collagen production and increase the growth factors of your skin. We can administer exosomes directly to the scalp to accelerate growth.
- PRP Injections: Platelet-rich plasma is a nutrient-rich serum that stimulates the hair follicles by improving the fibroblasts in your skin–growth factors that help your body produce collagen and elastin. PRP can prolong the follicular growth cycle for thicker, fuller hair. PRP injections can also improve follicle strength and help your body generate new hair follicles for thicker hair.
- Stem Cell Injections: Stem cells, also known as “blank cells,” take on the characteristics of cells around them and can accelerate hair growth by increasing the immune cells in the body. (5)
- LED Light Therapy: We can administer LED light therapy to the scalp to kill bacteria and reduce inflammation affecting your hair growth. Like stem cell injections, LED light therapy can extend the hair growth phase, and the laser is noninvasive, so it can improve your hair growth without abrasive treatments that damage the skin. (6) LED light treatments can also improve hair density and reduce hair shedding.
Hair Restoration with HAIRestart
Hair restoration with HAIRestart stimulates new hair growth with laser energy that helps your body generate new cells. The noninvasive treatment can reduce hair thinning and activate dormant follicles by improving blood flow to your scalp. The treatment can also result in the formation of new blood vessels (neoangiogenesis). The heat penetrates the skin to increase your scalp’s nutrient absorption. Many patients prefer this treatment because it can accelerate their hair growth without surgical treatments or medications.

Preparation & Treatment Process
To prepare for exosome therapy, there are several steps you will need to take:

- Take good care of your body by getting adequate sleep (7-8 hours each night)
