MiniFX and BodyFX
Consultations offered at our two convenient locations in Buena Park and Cupertino, CA
BodyFX and MiniFX are two of the latest body contouring technologies to melt away hard-to-lose fat with state-of-the-art radiofrequency energy. These non-invasive procedures safely permeate the skin’s layers to reach and treat subcutaneous fat tissue. While diet and exercise are marketed as the only ways to successfully lose fat, they oftentimes leave our clients with underwhelming results. However, with BodyFX and MiniFX, we are proud to give our Southern California clients a reliable procedure to target unwanted fat in different areas of their bodies. From the abdomen to the love handles, to the arms and thighs, these two technologies can target all the areas exercises can’t. While the BodyFX addresses larger areas around the body, MiniFX treats smaller areas like under the chin. If you would like to see how BodyFX and MiniFX can non-invasively sculpt away fat, schedule a personal consultation at our Buena Park offices.

About Hard-to-Lose Fat
Not all fat is created equal. And not all fat is responsive to changes in diet and activity levels. There are two main types of fat: visceral and subcutaneous. Visceral fat exists deeper in the body, mainly centered around organs. This type of fat is remarkably responsive to diet and exercise as weight loss methods and cosmetic fat loss procedures are suited to treat it.[1] On the other hand, subcutaneous fat exists on a more superficial layer of the body. Wedged between the skin and muscles, subcutaneous fat protects the inner body from external forces. This role makes subcutaneous fat vital in keeping the body healthy. So, when diet and exercise improve, the body is still reluctant to burn away this type of fat. Even when our patients reach their goal weight, they report having areas of stubborn fat that haven’t changed. This is the type of fat BodyFX and MiniFX are designed to treat.
How Radiofrequency Treats Stubborn Fat
Doctors and medical professionals have used radiofrequency technology in medicine for over a hundred years.[2] When applied to areas of fat, the radiofrequency energy only absorbs into the fat cells, causing the adipose molecule to lose its cellular integrity.[3] The surrounding tissue is left unharmed because the radiofrequency solely affects the adipose tissue. As a result, the fat cell membrane ruptures. Over the next few days, the body disposes of the targeted fat cells, leaving behind a slimmer, better-contoured appearance in the treated areas. In many international studies, this technology also proved to be effective in treating cellulite in the legs and buttocks.[4]

Personal Consultation in Buena Park
During your consultation, we will answer any questions you may have and discuss what type of results you can expect from these body contouring procedures. We want to learn about you. So, feel free to address any other cosmetic concerns outside of your hard-to-lose fat. We offer a wide variety of aesthetic services to treat several conditions. Be sure to ask our aesthetic nurses which ones are best for you and your appearance goals.
Procedure
BodyFX and MiniFX are both handheld applicators that generate safe and effective radiofrequency energy. We begin by applying a topical anesthetic for those who need it. Then, we take the device’s handpiece and place it in the treatment area. The handpiece uses negative pressure to draw the fatty tissue into the handpiece, which then delivers a pulse of RF energy.. Radiofrequency produces a thermal effect so expect to feel warmth in the areas. After a few initial passes, we may switch to the MiniFX to treat smaller, more precise areas of your physique. Once we have treated all of your target areas, we will release you from our care! Since these are non-invasive and require no sedation, you will be able to jump right back into your daily schedule!
How Much Do BodyFX and MiniFX Cost in Southern California?
Both procedures come with their own prices, and some patients may require more sessions to see their desired results. So, prices will vary. We will determine the cost of your treatment during your initial consultation. To reach us directly, please call us at (714) 224-9010.
